A one week catamaran holiday from Rhodes to the colourful harbour of Symi and the quiet island of Chalki, with a stop under the acropolis of Lindos.
This one week cruise starts from Rhodes New Marina and sails south and east along the coast of Rhodes before crossing to Symi and Chalki, two of the most characterful islands of the southern Dodecanese. The route is a loop, so the boat is back at the base on the last day without any long transfer.
The days are easy to plan around, with time for sailing, a swim and an evening at anchor or on the quay. The wide decks and the stable platform of a catamaran suit families, groups of friends and crews who prefer swimming and exploring ashore to long days under sail.
The scenery moves from the long beaches of the Rhodes east coast to the white village of Lindos under its ancient acropolis, then to the bare hills and pastel harbour of Symi and the quiet, almost car free island of Chalki. In summer the meltemi can blow strong in the afternoon, so the route leaves room to choose the more protected anchorage on the day.
Ashore, the cruise offers a medieval old town on Rhodes, steep lanes and tavernas above the water on Symi and small harbour villages where the pace is slow and the food is simple and local.
On board the day follows an easy rhythm of breakfast on deck, a sail, a swim and a quiet evening at anchor or on the quay. It is a holiday for those who enjoy being the crew of their own boat, with the freedom to stay longer where the place deserves it.
Itinerary
Day1
Boarding in Rhodes and a first swim
Boarding takes place at Rhodes New Marina at 17:00. After settling into the cabins and a briefing at the base, the catamaran leaves the harbour and, time permitting, sails south along the east coast of Rhodes for a first swim and dinner on board.
Day2
Rhodes to Haraki
A relaxed morning sail down the east coast brings the boat to the wide bay of Haraki, with a long pebble beach, clear water and a handful of tavernas by the sea. A good place to settle into the rhythm of the week.
Day3
Haraki to Lindos
A short sail south leads to Lindos, where the white village climbs the hillside below the ancient acropolis. The bay of St Paul, a small round cove beside the headland, is a favourite swimming stop before the night at anchor.
Day4
Lindos to Symi
The route crosses the open water to Symi, one of the most photogenic harbours of the Aegean, with pastel neoclassical houses stacked around the bay. The boat spends the night in Gialos or in the quieter bay of Pedi.
Day5
A day around Symi
A slow day on Symi, with time to walk the stepped lanes of Chorio, swim from the beach or sail to the sheltered bay of Panormitis, home to a well known monastery. Evenings are lively around the harbour, with tavernas and small bars.
Day6
Symi to Chalki
Leaving Symi, the catamaran sails west to the small island of Chalki and the harbour of Emporio, a quiet village of restored mansions, a few tavernas on the quay and very little traffic. Swimming bays around the island are clear and uncrowded.
Day7
Chalki back to Rhodes and disembarkation
The final leg returns to Rhodes New Marina, reached on Friday afternoon, with swim stops on the way depending on weather and time. The boat is prepared for return, the last night is spent on board and disembarkation takes place the following morning at 09:00.

Wide open decks, a spacious cockpit and a light-filled saloon make this modern catamaran a comfortable home afloat. Five cabins are spread across the two hulls: three double cabins for couples and two compact single cabins, ideal for kids or friends who like their own space. Two shared bathrooms keep mornings simple.
Under sail the twin hulls give a steady, forgiving ride, while a self-tacking jib keeps manoeuvres easy for small crews. The cockpit table is the natural spot for long lunches, and the bimini and cockpit cushions keep it comfortable in any weather. A dinghy with outboard and snorkelling gear make every anchorage easy to enjoy.
