A week of cabin charter sailing from Olbia through the Maddalena Archipelago to Bonifacio in Corsica, with pink sand, granite coves and clear water along the Costa Smeralda.
This cruise starts and ends in Olbia, on the north-east coast of Sardinia, and explores the Maddalena Archipelago, a national park of 62 islands, before crossing to the south of Corsica. Two countries are visited in a single week.
The route runs from Olbia along the Costa Smeralda to Cala Coticcio on Caprera, Budelli, Spargi and Santa Maria, then crosses to Bonifacio and the Lavezzi islands before returning to Olbia. The strait between Sardinia and Corsica is only about seven miles wide, and the route stays flexible depending on the weather and the group.
Anchorages are set in emerald and turquoise water, with granite rocks, white sand and the famous pink beach of Budelli. Lavezzi is a marine nature reserve and a favourite place for snorkelling, and every morning can start in a new bay.
Ashore, Bonifacio is a charming town perched on white cliffs with wide views over the strait, while the Costa Smeralda adds a glamorous side to the coastline. Cala Coticcio on Caprera, often called the Tahiti of Sardinia, is known for its clear water and white sand.
Life on board is relaxed and sociable. The group shares the days at sea, can take part in sailing the boat if it wishes and enjoys evenings at anchor under a clear sky.
Itinerary
Day1
Olbia: Boarding and First Evening Afloat
Guests join the boat in Olbia, settle into their cabins and meet the group. After the safety briefing the boat leaves the marina for a first sail along the Costa Smeralda and an evening at anchor in a sheltered bay.

Costa Smeralda to Caprera
The route continues north into the Maddalena Archipelago and to Cala Coticcio on Caprera, known for its crystal-clear water and white sand, with time for a swim.
Day3
Caprera to Budelli
A short sail leads to Budelli, famous for its pink sand beach, with clear shallow water for swimming and snorkelling around the boat.
Day4
Budelli to Spargi and Santa Maria
Secluded coves on Spargi and Santa Maria are the setting for the day, with granite shores, calm water and a quiet night at anchor under the stars.

What to pack for a sailing holiday?
Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? What's a Typical Day Like on a Yacht Charter?
Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? What Happens in Case of Bad Weather During a Sailing Holiday?
When the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
