A week of cabin charter sailing from Mahé through the inner islands of the Seychelles, with La Digue, Curieuse and Praslin, granite beaches and clear water.
This cruise starts and ends on Mahé and explores the inner islands of the Seychelles, a group of granite islands with white-sand beaches and warm, clear water. La Digue, Curieuse and Praslin are close enough to reach in short sails, so most days leave plenty of time ashore and in the water.
The route is flexible and is adapted to the wind, the sea and the wishes of the group. Passages are short and sheltered, and the boat spends each night at anchor or in a quiet harbour.
Anchorages are set beside granite boulders and palm-lined beaches, with reefs for snorkelling close to the boat. Curieuse is known for its giant tortoises and mangroves, while La Digue has some of the most photographed beaches in the Indian Ocean.
Ashore, La Digue is explored on foot or by bicycle, and Praslin has forest paths and coastal viewpoints. Local restaurants and beach cafes are an easy place for an evening meal.
Life on board is relaxed and sociable. The group shares meals, takes part in sailing the boat and makes the most of the warm sea.
Itinerary
Day1
Mahé: Boarding and First Evening Afloat
Guests join the boat on Mahé, settle into their cabins and meet the group. After the safety briefing the boat leaves the marina for a short sail to a first quiet anchorage.
Day2
Mahé to La Digue
A morning sail crosses to La Digue, with a swim stop on the way when the sea allows. The afternoon is free to settle into the island's slow rhythm.
Day3
La Digue: Beaches and Bicycles
A day to explore La Digue on foot or by bicycle, with its granite boulders, palm trees and white-sand beaches. Swim and snorkel stops complete the day.
Day4
La Digue to Curieuse
The route continues north to Curieuse, where giant tortoises roam freely and mangroves line the shore. The afternoon is for swimming and snorkelling in calm water.
Day5
Curieuse to Praslin
A short sail leads to Praslin, with time to walk forest paths or visit a beach ashore. The evening is spent at anchor in a sheltered bay.
Day6
Praslin: Coves and Reefs
The boat explores the coast of Praslin, with swim and snorkel stops over clear reefs. The evening is a relaxed one on board or ashore before the return leg begins.
Day7
Back to Mahé and Disembarkation
A final sail brings the boat back to Mahé, with a last swim stop on the way. After a last night aboard, guests disembark the following morning.
