Thailand's Andaman Sea offers one of Southeast Asia's most rewarding sailing regions, combining dramatic limestone cliffs, emerald waters, vibrant marine life, and hundreds of tropical islands scattered between Phuket, Krabi, and Phi Phi. This route blends peaceful anchorages with world-famous destinations, allowing you to experience both hidden corners accessible only by boat and celebrated natural landmarks.
Departing from Phuket, the journey navigates through the breathtaking scenery of Phang Nga Bay, where towering karst formations emerge from calm green waters. The itinerary continues south towards Krabi and the Phi Phi Islands, revealing quiet lagoons, coral reefs, white sandy beaches, and protected bays perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
Along the way, you'll discover remote islands such as Koh Nakha Yai, Pakbia, Bamboo Island, and Ko Lawa, while also visiting iconic locations including Hong Island, Maya Bay, and Monkey Bay. Day1
Yacht Haven Marina to Koh Nakha Yai
Board your yacht at Yacht Haven Marina in Phuket during the late afternoon. After settling into your cabin and meeting the crew for a welcome briefing, begin your first short sail across the calm waters of Phang Nga Bay towards Koh Nakha Yai. Anchor off its quiet white sand beach for a refreshing swim before enjoying dinner onboard while the sun sets behind the limestone islands.
Day2
Hong Island, Koh Yang and Koh Chang Lat
Sail into the heart of Phang Nga Bay and reach the spectacular Hong Island, famous for its hidden lagoon enclosed by towering limestone cliffs. Continue cruising towards Koh Yang before sailing past the remarkable scenery surrounding James Bond Island and the floating village of Koh Panyee. Later in the afternoon, arrive at Koh Chang Lat where the yacht remains at anchor for a peaceful evening.
Day3
Ao Thalin and Pakbia Islands
Leave Koh Chang Lat and cruise towards Ao Thalin, a sheltered bay surrounded by dense mangrove forests and impressive limestone formations. After enjoying the peaceful surroundings, continue to the Pakbia Islands, a collection of small tropical islets surrounded by clear waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Spend the evening anchored in this tranquil setting.
Day4
Koh Hong Krabi, Ao Nang and Ko Dam Khwan
Today's navigation heads towards the beautiful Hong Island near Krabi, where a calm emerald lagoon invites a morning swim. Continue sailing along the Krabi coastline before reaching Ao Nang, one of southern Thailand's most vibrant seaside towns. In the afternoon, sail to Ko Dam Khwan, also known as Chicken Head Island, where coral reefs and a spectacular sandbar create one of the area's most picturesque anchorages.
Day5
Bamboo Island and Ko Phi Phi Don
Sail south towards Bamboo Island, a small coral island surrounded by crystal-clear water and vibrant marine life. After enjoying time at anchor, continue to Ko Phi Phi Don and reach the quiet waters of Yongsakem Bay, often called Monkey Bay. Surrounded by steep limestone cliffs, this peaceful anchorage offers an unforgettable tropical setting for the evening.
Day6
Maya Bay and Phi Phi Islands
Cruise around the dramatic cliffs of Ko Phi Phi Leh before arriving at the famous Maya Bay, one of Thailand's most iconic beaches. Continue exploring the island's spectacular coastline with its caves and towering limestone walls before returning to Ko Phi Phi Don. Anchor in Ton Sai Bay, where the afternoon can be spent exploring the lively waterfront before another relaxing evening onboard.
Day7
Ko Khai Nai, Ko Lawa and Return to Phuket
Begin the final day with a sail to Ko Khai Nai, a small island known for its brilliant white beaches and shallow turquoise waters. Continue to nearby Ko Lawa for a final swim before starting the return journey towards Yacht Haven Marina. Enjoy your last evening onboard while reflecting on the week's sailing adventure. The following morning, after breakfast, disembark at the marina by approximately 9:00 AM.

Lovely trip. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Staff worked very hard but always with a smile on their faces. Visited many beautiful locations and the captain always chose the best places to stop for a swim or for the evening. He always kept the guests well informed and asked what they preferred to do. The boat had everything you needed and the catering on board was 1st class.

This sailing trip around Phuket and the surrounding islands exceeded all expectations. The crew welcomed us warmly and explained everything clearly. I loved how the boat felt spacious yet intimate, there was always a quiet spot to relax. Each day started with breakfast overlooking a new island, and the vibe was always tranquil and inspiring.
The excursions were the perfect touch. Visiting the famous James Bond Island was surreal, and the floating village gave us real insight into Thai life. We also had the chance to snorkel in shallow coral reefs filled with colorful fish. The highlight for me was our stop at Ko Phi Phi Don, the walk to the viewpoint was worth every step, with views that took my breath away.
