Your sailing trip
A small-group cabin charter sailing holiday from Marina Trogir through the central Dalmatian islands, with a professional skipper and host on board, breakfast and lunch included, and evenings spent in family-run waterfront konobas.
The cruise departs from Marina Trogir, a short drive from Split Airport, and follows a circular route south through the central Dalmatian archipelago, covering the islands of Šolta, Brač, Hvar and Vis before returning north at the end of the week. Daily sailing legs run between fifteen and twenty-five nautical miles, with a midday anchorage for swimming and lunch on board at the center of each day.
Navigation is handled entirely by a professional skipper, leaving guests free to relax, watch the coast go by or take part in sailing at their own level. The skipper adapts the route each day to wind, sea state and the mood of the group, which means no two weeks on this itinerary look exactly alike. A host on board manages breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks throughout the day, while dinner is normally taken ashore in small harbors at family-run restaurants the crew has worked with for years.
The islands along the route carry distinct characters. Šolta opens the week with a quiet pine-framed inlet at Maslinica, well suited to a first easy day of sailing and a relaxed evening ashore. Brač offers anchorages along its western coast, including Lučice and Milna, before the route turns south toward Hvar. The Pakleni Islands, just offshore from Hvar Town, provide one of the most celebrated swim-stop anchorages in Croatia before the most social evening of the week in Hvar's harbor.
Vis stands apart from the rest, the most remote of the central Dalmatian islands, historically closed to foreign visitors until 1989. The Blue Cave on the neighboring island of Biševo is one of the most visually striking natural sites in the Adriatic, reached by tender in the morning before the boat moves on to Stiniva, the UNESCO-listed cove whose narrow clifftop entrance opens onto a hidden pebble beach. Komiža, on the western side of Vis, is consistently described as one of the most beautiful fishing harbors in Croatia.
Days settle into a natural rhythm quickly, an early morning swim as the host prepares breakfast, a late morning sailing leg, a lunch stop at anchor in clear water, an afternoon arrival and an evening spent in a harbor village with a dinner just off the quay.

What stands out most on deck is the outdoor galley built into the stern platform, turning the transom into a genuine second kitchen directly above the water.
The cockpit is wide and well organized, with twin helm stations on either side and two tables in between that lower completely to form a continuous sunbathing surface when not in use for meals. Forward of the cockpit, a dedicated lounging area on the foredeck with adjustable daybed cushions extends the outdoor living space well beyond the typical deck arrangement for a monohull of this size.
At the stern, a flip-up bench conceals a plancha grill, sink and refrigerator, turning the wide bathing platform into an outdoor kitchen at anchor, with direct access to the water just below. Below deck, large panoramic windows and multiple overhead hatches keep the saloon noticeably bright, with light oak joinery and a convertible dining table at the center of the main living area.
Cabins are arranged across several configurations depending on the vessel assigned, typically from four to six double berths each with a private bathroom, giving the boat a spaciousness inside that feels larger than the overall length would suggest. A dedicated skipper's cabin keeps the crew separate from the guest quarters.
The exact year and configuration of the boat assigned will be confirmed before departure, with comfort and layout kept consistent across similar vessels in the fleet.

Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? Discover more in our guide: What's a typical day like on a sailing holiday?
On skipper-only charters, guests usually share cooking and cleaning duties, think salads, pasta, and good teamwork. If there's a hostess, light meals and tidying are included, but it's still a casual, collaborative vibe. On fully crewed yachts, you'll enjoy full service with a chef and crew managing everything. Want to know what's included in your setup? Read the full guide: Who takes care of cooking and cleaning on a sailing charter?
Summer sailing holidays rarely face major weather issues, but when the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
