Your sailing trip
Sail the Amalfi Coast and the islands of the Gulf of Naples aboard a traditional gulet, combining close coastal navigation past dramatic cliffs with stops in Positano, Amalfi, Capri and Ischia.
The cruise covers the waters of the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi Coast, moving between the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida and the steep, terraced coastline that runs from Positano to Vietri sul Mare. Crossings are generally short, rarely more than a few hours, with the route shaped as much by sheltered anchorages as by the distance between ports.
Navigation here stays close to the coastline for much of the route, following the line of cliffs, fjords and small coves rather than crossing open water for long stretches. Several days include a full circumnavigation of an island, with stops for swimming along the way and a tender used to reach shore wherever there is no direct mooring.
The Amalfi Coast itself, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, unfolds as a continuous wall of terraced cliffs interrupted by villages such as Praiano, the Furore fjord and the Emerald Grotto at Conca dei Marini. Capri rises sharply from the sea around its well known Faraglioni rock formations, while Ischia feels greener and more volcanic, known for its thermal springs.
Each stop carries its own identity. Positano is known for its vertical streets and Mediterranean style, Amalfi for its history as an ancient maritime republic with a cathedral and former paper mills, and Ravello for the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone above the coast. Naples, the final stop before returning to the base, adds a different kind of energy entirely, with its historic churches and street food.
Days generally follow a similar shape, breakfast on board before the morning's navigation, a stop for swimming around midday, and free time ashore in the afternoon or evening depending on the island. Dinners alternate between meals on board and evenings left free to explore a port town's restaurants and squares.

Yacht - Gulet
Onboard space is generous and sociable, well suited both to close family groups and to larger private celebrations.
The deck is divided into clear zones for different moments of the day, a forward area often given over to water activities, a central sundeck with cushioned seating, and a shaded aft section built around a large table where the whole group can gather for meals.
Guest cabins are private, each fitted with its own en suite bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to twelve people across the boat.
A full crew, including a captain, sailor, cook and hostess, takes care of the cruise from start to finish, handling navigation, meals and daily housekeeping so guests can stay fully focused on the time on board.
The exact gulet assigned to the cruise will be confirmed before departure, with comfort, layout and crew service kept consistent across the fleet.

Travel organizer tips
Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? Discover more in our guide: What's a typical day like on a sailing holiday?
On skipper-only charters, guests usually share cooking and cleaning duties, think salads, pasta, and good teamwork. If there's a hostess, light meals and tidying are included, but it's still a casual, collaborative vibe. On fully crewed yachts, you'll enjoy full service with a chef and crew managing everything. Want to know what's included in your setup? Read the full guide: Who takes care of cooking and cleaning on a sailing charter?
Summer sailing holidays rarely face major weather issues, but when the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
