Nature, Body and Soul week of inspiration: Hatha Yoga, Qi Gong and Mindfulness
Experience how mindfulness, yoga and qi gong can totally change your way of living. By attending this retreat and dedicating a week to your mind and body, you can add more relaxation in your body, feel mentally connected to your inner self and make life choices that completely suit you.
Besides this you can enjoy all the beauty that the Turkish Riviera has to offer. We cruise along beautiful islands, hidden coves, beautiful white sand beaches and old fishing villages. In this oasis of peace and natural beauty you are just completely away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In addition to the daily programme, you can swim, snorkel or relax with or without a book lying on the deck.
The Program:
· Hatha yoga, breathing exercises and meditation
· Vegetarian breakfast
· Free time
· Vegetarian lunch
· Free time
· Shibashi Qi Gong
· Vegetarian Dinner
· Two Mindfulness workshops
We will start every morning with yoga, breathing exercises and meditation.
The MarjaaNi’s yoga classes are based on the traditional Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga consists mainly of non-moving exercises with great attention to breathing.
The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit and means ‘union’ or ‘bringing together’. Yoga originated in India more than 4,000 years ago. It was a way to achieve a deeper state of meditation.
The core of yoga nowadays is that the unity of body and spirit is found in a combination of breathing, physical exercise and concentration. The exercises (Asanas) give strength and energy and provide an overall pleasant feeling of relaxation. Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation will be part of the lessons.
Qi Gong will be practiced every evening. Qi Gong is a traditional Chinese technique to heal the mind and body. On the retreat we will practice Shibashi, a Qi Gong form, consisting of 18 movements. Through the slow, relaxed and conscious movements you gain the ability to internal harmony and balance. Your body is soft and thoroughly practiced, your emotions are calmed down and your mind is brought back in a peaceful state of wholeness.
During the two Mindfulness workshops you will learn to shift attention to the ‘here and now’ and leave other things to what they are. This way you can achieve some form of relaxation or discharge; in the head and in the rest of your body.
A Reiki treatment (healing work based on life force energy) is optional and costs 25 euro.

St. Nicholas Island – apart from its scattered Byzantine ruins, it also features a somewhat flattened top – the perfect spot for our evening yoga and meditation practice
Kayaköy – a ghost town which until the 1960s was populated by Greeks. The area is now alive with plenty of artistic workshops and small cafes.
Ancient Lycian rock carved tombs
We will have a chance to visit the only inhabitant of KapıdağıPeninsula, share a cup of tea and a cup conversation with him, and explore the ancient ruins in his backyard
Half-sunken remains of a Roman Bath, popularly known as Cleopatra’s Bath – wonderful introduction to underwater archaeology
Ağa limani Peninsula, with its wealth of archaeological ruins from Lycian, Roman, and Ottoman period. We’ll visit one of the very few nomadic families still living here.
Many other hidden peaks and coves, which are so small and obscure that they don’t even have an official name, but they will still blow you away with their beauty
