Discover the Grenadines through a luxury sailing cruise, short and exciting sailing between islands and islets, coral reefs, fabulous anchors, traditional villages and rasta markets.
Sail from Grenada feeling the peacefull trade winds on your face! Enjoy with us the clear waters of one of the most enchanting archipelagos in the world, leaving behind the winter of the city.
Between one spot and the next, the days will be punctuated by a succession of emotions: from the morning dip in a postcard sea, for a swim among the turtles and coral reef fish, to breakfast with fruit and tropical delights together with your crew; from the relaxing sailings in the wide spaces of the catamaran, to the fun challenges of tuna fishing; from romantic dinners in the harbor or in a restaurant immersed in the colors of the Caribbean sunset, grilled on the beach with lobsters and Caribe beer and the reggae music played by the Creole boys, who invite to spend the last energies of the day dancing until late at night. A breath-taking New Year's Day, made even more special by the flights of flights to Miami, the outward and return, which will allow you to organize a nice ride in the city. Book now and start dreaming!
Itinerary
Day1
True Blue Bay - St.George
Arrival in Grenada and transfer to True Blue Bay. In the afternoon, shopping and visit of the capital of the island St. George's. Walking along the steep and winding roads, which from the port climb the surrounding hills, you can enjoy exceptional views and you can admire some nineteenth-century creole houses with red-tiled roofs, once used as ballast from ships coming from Europe. Against the backdrop of green hills, the city is an alternation of merchant houses, pastel-colored buildings, warehouses and cafes, while social life is concentrated around the port. In St. George's there is also a picturesque fruit, spice and fish market.
Day2
Tyrrel Bay
Departure from the marina, dubbing of the SW island tip and going up north towards Ronde Island, for the first cruise bath. Then, route to Tyrrel Bay on Carriacou Island, the largest island of all the Grenadines. The Arawaks, the natives that Christopher Columbus met when he landed in the Americas, called it the island of coral reefs. Along the coast beautiful bays, some of which offer excellent anchorages, such as Tyrrel Bay on the south-western stretch, while the hills are dotted with old mills and ruins of ancient great houses. Ronde Island offers a lot also from the folkloristic point of view and keeps alive, in the dances and in the demonstrations the traditions related to the colonial era.
Day3
Sandy Island
From Tyrrel Bay to Sandy Island: 4 miles to find yourself in paradise. The beach overlooks a tropical lagoon whose turquoise and pristine waters offer a protected anchorage. Sandy Island, a natural park, is ideal for snorkelling in its coral reef with untouched coral gardens and multicolored fish. It will be like swimming in an aquarium.
Day4
Carriacou
From Sandy Island to Hillsborough, a town on the Carriacou coast just north of Sandy Island for Grenada exit practices. Possibility of provisions, fruit and vegetables and fish market.
From Hillsborough we will continue towards Union Island, Clifton, the first island of the State of St. Vincent, where we will still give to enjoy the sea in pure relaxation. Evening on the ground to celebrate the New Year together with the crews of the many Italian boats that, as usual, the New Year's Eve meet in Union!
Day5
Tobago Cays
From Clifton to Tobago Cays, 5 miles: the highlight of the trip. Mooring choice at the buoy or anchor, immediately downwind of the reef with Petit Rameau and Bateau behind, for a dip and snorkelling among the turtles and multicolored fish that swim among the boats. In the late afternoon, we move to the beach for a special moonlit evening, lobster staged! For just 40 euros local fishermen prepare a good and abundant Caribbean dinner (drinks not included).
Day6
Canouan Island
In relation to the strength of the wind, we will continue on the route from Tobago Cays to Canouan Island, Charleston Bay, 7 miles, or from Tobago Cays to Mayreau Island, Saline Bay, 3 miles. In both cases we will moor at anchor in beautiful protected bays.
Day7
Petit St. Vincent
From Saline Bay (or Charlestone Bay) to Petit St. Vincent, with a stop for a dip in Palm Island. Here we will anchor in front of the leeward beach and we will be able to disembark on the island for a visit, conditioned to a minimum of discretion as it is private. But it's worth it: the landscape and the water are wonderful. Later, a route to Petit St. Vincent with a first stop on the microscopic islet of Mopion, a strip of sand dominated by a single straw umbrella, likely set of a famous television commercial for Martini. In the evening we will continue half a mile to anchor in front of the Petit St.Vincent beach in front of a luxurious resort, which we can take advantage of for a dinner at the restaurant or an aperitif at the bar.
Day8
Union Island
From Petit St. Vincent to Union Island, Clifton for exit practices from St. Vincent. Then the navigation resumes towards Carriacou Island, Hillsborough for entry practices. Before Hillsboroug on Carriacou Island, if time permits, we will stop for a swim at Anse La Roche, one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.
Night of choice: at anchor in front of the village of Hillsborough, which in the evening is very lively and cute, or back to Sandy Island at the buoy, half a mile more to W, or down a little more 'to Tyrrel Bay.
Day9
Grenada
From Carriacou Island back to Grenada, Tyrrel Bay. Starting early in the morning, we can find time for a last swim in Grenada, just before the capital St.George, mooring at the buoy near the famous Grenada Underwater Museum (www.grenadaunderwatersculpture.com). The stop is worth it, the water is crystal clear, the interesting sculptures and the colorful and abundant marine fauna. In the evening, return to Tyrrel Bay.
