Your sailing trip
Explore the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar, jump on board a sailing cruise to the unique Lampi National Marine Park!
Enjoy a sailing cruise in the one marine national park of Myanmar in Lampi Island, which will be the highlight of our sailing cruise.
With over 200 sq km in size, Lampi is the largest island in the southern part of the Mergui Archipelago, because of its important biodiversity, the national park was declared an ASEAN Heritage Park.
Lampi Island is covered by tropical lowland wet evergreen forest in the interior, mangrove forest along rivers and fresh-water sources, and beach and dune forest along the coast. Other major habitat types are coral reefs, seagrass, freshwater streams and swamps. The main island of Lampi has two major perennial rivers and many small seasonal streams. Fresh-water resources are abundant. The variety of habitats supports a high diversity of both terrestrial and marine resources.
Lampi will be the highlight of this sailing cruise but this itenerary also includes stops in Macleod Island, Jar Lan Kyun, Kyun Phi Lar Island, Bo Cho Island, Kyant Gyo Island and Kawthaung.

Yacht - Sangermani 72 foot
Scame is a timeless sailing yacht constructed at the Sangermani Shipyards, one of the world’s most famous builders of elegant boats. She is a 72 foot wooden cutter designed in 1971 and our only one-master. With three double cabins and six berths, she is astonishingly spacious and the perfect yacht for families or groups of up to six people.
Scame is a really performing sailer and has been engaged in yacht charters across the globe without pause for the past 35 years before becoming part of our fleet in the Mergui Archipelago. Fast and quite comfortable, Scame is captained by a very friendly and proffessional man, who is certainly on of the most experienced yachtsman that can be found this side of the globe. There is a relaxed and stress free atmosphere on board Scame and the experienced crew of 4 is more than happy to share their love and mastery of the sea.

Travel organizer tips
If you are arriving from within Myanmar, you can book online and fly directly to Kawthaung Airport. We’d be more than happy to help you organise transportation and meet you at the airport.
Another option is to fly to Ranong Airport. There are daily flights from Bangkok by Nok Air. The airport is well served by local taxi drivers but we can also pick you up from Ranong Airport, of course.
Once you are in Ranong, you will take a longtail boat across the Pakchan River to Kawthaung on the Myanmar side, which takes about 30 minutes. We will help you with the immigration procedures before boarding the yacht.
Phuket International Airport is a convenient and well-connected place to fly to. From there, it’s a scenic 3 - 4-hour car ride to Ranong, the Thai border town. Here, too, we are happy to assist you.
No. Our crew will take cae of all the sailing for you. But if you like you are invited to get involved and learn how to sail during your sailing trip.
Yes. Most travellers will get a visa- on-arrival in Myanmar and we will take care of the procedure when you enter the country while you relax or explore.
Yes, it is! There are no conflicts in our sailing area, nor are there any pirates. There is a mid- level malaria risk in
southern Myanmar and you should take precautions by using mosquito-repellent and wearing long sleeves and trousers if onshore at night (which you are unlikely to be much).
We think so. A few years things ago, things have started to fundamentally change in Myanmar and Aung San Suu Kyi has been released. She and her party now embrace individual and ethical tourism by travellers whose money does not go straight into the pockets of the generals. We are here to support just that.
You don’t need much. Bring your bathers, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, your camera and you’re pretty much set! It's best to also bring mosquito repellent and you may want to consider bringing anti-malaria tablets. Do remember to get a travel insurance before joining our cruise. On board, you won't need shoes but you can bring flip-flops or reef shoes for beach outings if you want. We provide full lodging, including
bedding, towels, all meals, water and soft drinks. We also provide fishing and snorkelling equipment and first-aid, if necessary.
season to go? The best time for sailing is between late October and end of April. The rainy season starts in May.
During daytime about 28-32°C. The water temperature will be about 26-29°C.
Our chefs specialise in Asian cuisine but also serve Western dishes. Six weeks prior to departure we ask all our guests about their preferences.
