Yoga teacher Emi Onishi
I was born in Kyoto in Japan in 1977 and is the eldest of three siblings (a sister and a brother). When I was 7 I started going to church alone, without being spurred on by my parents. I still remember when I recited the prayers taught to me by a priest every night before going to bed. Music has always passionate me and after entering high school I started to play drums in a band. I was always looking for strong emotions and music that inspire me. These two factors contributed to my desire to travel, which began when I was 21 years old. I discovered yoga in 1999 during my first trip to India. Before that I had never seriously considered Yoga, but since I’ve begun to notice the obvious signs that marked my wrong path, the interest in me for this discipline and ‘access and the passion for it continues to last . Yoga has made my life more ‘simple and colorful and I could never imagine living without this practice. Amazing benefits of yoga books I read in the beginning of my path are now showing up in everyday life. During one of many travels to India to deepen spiritual matters I also met my partner. It ‘an Italian musician! For some years I teach yoga at the association OJAS -Yoga and ayurveda- in his city ‘, Padova, not far from Venice. Currently I am continuing my studies with Dr. David Frawley, one of the teachers more ‘respected in the field of Vedic disciplines which include Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedic Astrology and Vedanta. Studio Tantric Yoga with Yogini Shambavi. My teachings and practice of Yoga and Ayurveda is based on Vedic sciences, which help us to reconnect with nature and with Shakti, the divine energy that embodies the most ‘high manifestation. Meditation and ‘constant part of my life and occasionally organize the meditation meetings for my students. I hold workshops and retreats of Yoga and Ayurveda in Italy, Japan and India. I write articles for one of the major tools for Japanese companies Yoga “Yoga Works” and for the Japanese spiritual online blog “Trinity”.
