Your sailing trip
Dreaming of crystal clear and tropical waters?Come join Amanda on a sailing cruise in the Turkish Riviera. Venture out to St. Nicholas and stoo at a new location each dayThroughout this sailing cruise we will explore the practice of Yoga with it’s sister science Ayurveda. From the recently introduced practitioner to those with a few years under their belts, we will delve into the many facets of this tradition. Focusing on asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), the doshas (body constitutions), and yoga nidra (deep relaxation). Each day will focus on a new region of the body, and a way to balance energies. Fear not, the two blend seamlessly making all concepts accessible. We’ll begin each day with an hour long practice and a fantastic vegetarian breakfast (non veg option upon request). After we’ll be free to explore each port, swim in the Mediterranean, hike the coast line, just enjoy you’re vacation sun bathing on deck! Come evening, another hour long practice will ease you into a deep relaxation session before indulging in an extravagant BBQ dinner on board. As we enjoy the setting sun over the horizon, the night is yours to do with as you see fit: lounge on deck with the group, have a few drinks, or enjoy an Ayurvedic body treatment (Abhyanga) provided by Amanda. Who could resist this dreamy practice of equal parts Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ayurveda fused with the beauty only the Mediterranean has to offer? Experience tranquility, equilibrium, and sodality as only yogis know how in this perfect sailing getaway. Let the Turkish love overflow you, let the healing waters of the ocean cleanse you, let the practice transform you; experience life as it was meant to be lived through exploration, play, and community. This is an opportunity so rare, capitalize on it’s abundance. About Amanda My intention has been to pass along the knowledge, love and gifts of Yoga I was so generously given. On a complete whim, knowing nothing of Sivananda Yoga, I hopped on a plane to live in my tent for a month on an ashram in Grass Valley, CA. Becoming familiar with this original form of Hatha Yoga, I studied meditation, ayurveda, proper diet, the asanas (postures) and most importantly proper relaxation. As the month immersion came to an end I was granted the title of Yoga Siromani (Yoga Teacher) and accredited by the Yoga Alliance with a 200/hr registration. Since coming home, my passion has ignited beyond my wildest imagination. I've taught several free yoga series, enjoyed sharing the practice with intercity girls, teaching children of various ages, been a living mannequin and instructor for Lululemon, am the personal yoga instructor of the NY/NJ Trail Conference, and have even become a brand ambassador for Breakin' A Sweat (Yoga Wheel) and Brofit Wear USA. As of recent, I have just received my Ayurvedic Educator certificate and am an Ayurvedic Massage Body Therapist; I'm currently in pursuit of my doctorate in this field of healthcare. After years of nutritional study (both in school and solo) and sometime as a Phlebotomist, Ayurveda just seemed to make sense. In this science, we look to treat the root cause of an illness, rather than the superficial symptom. Thus, the end result is a true state of health and well-being. Come the fall, I will be relocating to Northern California to continue this pursuit of Yogic and Ayurvedic knowledge through the California College of Ayurveda. Despite a young age, there is a wealth of knowledge I'm itching to share. Come explore this tradition of well-being, and true peace.

Apart from some of the clearest waters that you will find in the Mediterranean, sea turtles and dolphins that we will be seeing on the way, and the unspoiled nature all around us, these are some of the places of interest that we will visit on our hikes:
St. Nicholas Island – apart from its scattered Byzantine ruins, it also features a somewhat flattened top – the perfect spot for our evening yoga and meditation practice
Kayaköy – a ghost town which until the 1960s was populated by Greeks. The area is now alive with plenty of artistic workshops and small cafes.
Ancient Lycian rock carved tombs
We will have a chance to visit the only inhabitant of KapıdağıPeninsula, share a cup of tea and a cup conversation with him, and explore the ancient ruins in his backyard
Half-sunken remains of a Roman Bath, popularly known as Cleopatra’s Bath – wonderful introduction to underwater archaeology
Ağa limani Peninsula, with its wealth of archaeological ruins from Lycian, Roman, and Ottoman period. We’ll visit one of the very few nomadic families still living here.
Many other hidden peaks and coves, which are so small and obscure that they don’t even have an official name, but they will still blow you away with their beauty
