A 7-day sailing holiday departing from Marina Ibiza in Eivissa, exploring the natural park coastline of the south, the remote southwestern coves, the volcanic outline of Es Vedrà and the crystalline western bays of Ibiza in a compact and varied circuit of the island's most celebrated sailing grounds.
Marina Ibiza, located in the Botafoch area on the northern side of the Eivissa harbor, is positioned at the geographic and historical center of the island. The UNESCO-listed walls of Dalt Vila rise on the opposite shore of the harbor entrance, the old fishing quarter of Sa Penya extends along the waterfront to the east, and the broad promenade of the new marina provides immediate provisioning access from the berth. Eivissa is a city that has been receiving boats since the 7th century BCE, when Phoenician traders established the first permanent settlement on the headland above the harbor, and arriving or departing by sailing boat from this marina connects the week at sea to that long continuity in a way that flying in and out of the airport cannot.
The sailing circuit from Marina Ibiza follows a natural clockwise arc around the southern and western coastline of the island, beginning in the protected natural park waters of the southeast and ending in the iconic western bays before the return passage to the harbor. The route covers approximately 110 nautical miles in total, with daily distances manageable enough to leave most of each day available at anchor.
The southeastern corner of Ibiza is defined by the Ses Salines Natural Park, a protected area covering the ancient salt flat system, the dune-backed beaches of Es Cavallet and Ses Salines, and the shallow posidonia marine corridor connecting Ibiza to Formentera. The salt extraction operation here has been functioning since Phoenician times and the geometric pools of the salt flats are visible from the water on the landward side as the boat navigates south along the park coastline. The posidonia seagrass beds protected within the park filter the surrounding water to a transparency that makes this the clearest sailing area in the immediate vicinity of Eivissa.
Rounding the southern cape opens the southwestern coastline, a succession of anchorages with a character quite different from the natural park waters to the east. Sa Caleta, Es Codolar, Cala Jondal and Es Torrent are all bays accessible primarily by boat, with dark sand or pebble beaches, clear water and small restaurants that have served arriving sailors for decades. Es Vedrà, the uninhabited volcanic island off the southwestern tip, anchors the entire southern section of the route with a physical presence visible from the water throughout the week.
The western bays of Cala Conta and Cala Bassa close the circuit before the return to Eivissa, representing the most internationally recognized section of the Ibiza coastline and the one that delivers the most concentrated natural beauty in the shortest distance.

Day1
Marina Ibiza, Boarding and Passage to Es Cavallet
Boarding takes place at Marina Ibiza from the afternoon. The waterfront promenade of Botafoch provides immediate access to provisioning from the supermarket and restaurants a short walk from the berth, and the old town of Dalt Vila is accessible on foot through the harbor area for anyone who wants to walk the Renaissance walls or find dinner ashore before the week begins. After the safety briefing and cabin allocation, the yacht departs south from the harbor, passing the lighthouse at the end of the breakwater and heading toward the southeastern coastline within the Ses Salines Natural Park. Es Cavallet is the first anchorage, a narrow beach of white sand and pine-covered dunes facing east into the calm posidonia channel between Ibiza and Formentera. The water above the seagrass bed shows the pale turquoise visible from the deck. Dinner onboard at anchor as the lights of Eivissa become visible to the north.

Ses Salines and the Torre de Ses Portes
The morning begins with a short southward navigation to Ses Salines, a beach extending over a kilometer along the protected southern coast of the natural park. The salt production facilities on the plateau behind the dunes are the direct descendants of the Phoenician operation established here nearly three millennia ago, and the geometric salt pans visible from the boat to the landward side give the anchorage a particular layering of natural and historical context. The beach itself is wide and well protected from the summer's prevailing winds, with beach clubs accessible by tender and water clarity that reflects the continuous posidonia protection of the surrounding park. The afternoon rounds the Torre de Ses Portes, the old defensive watchtower at the island's southernmost headland, above the narrow channel into Es Freus. The coves between the tower and Ses Salines provide sheltered evening anchorages away from the main beach activity. Overnight at anchor.
Day3
Sa Caleta and Es Codolar
The route moves northwest along the southwestern coastline toward Sa Caleta, a dark sand cove below the only Phoenician settlement in Ibiza outside the main city. The archaeological site on the headland above the beach dates to the 7th century BCE and the excavated remains of dwellings, workshops and a sanctuary make this the most historically significant anchorage on the entire circuit. The dark volcanic sand underfoot and the clear water above it produce a visual combination unlike the white-sand bays of the eastern coast. Es Codolar, a short distance further northwest, is an elongated stretch of dark pebble between low headlands with no significant tourist infrastructure, sheltered from the afternoon sea breeze and well suited to an unhurried swim before the boat continues. Day4
Es Torrent and Cala Jondal
Two of the most respected anchorages on the southwestern coast make a natural pair for a full day of sailing and swimming without covering significant distance. Es Torrent is the quieter and more remote of the two, a bay with no road access for large vehicles and a family-run restaurant at its head that serves rice dishes and grilled fish to boats arriving by tender, a tradition maintained for generations without particular concession to the surrounding tourist economy. Cala Jondal, around the headland to the east, is wider and better known, with a pebble beach, clear water over a sandy bottom and several beach restaurants including Blue Marlin, which operates a tender service for boats at anchor in the bay. Es Vedrà and Cala d'Hort
The passage northwest from the Cala Jondal area rounds the southwestern cape of Ibiza and opens the approach to Cala d'Hort, the bay that sits directly in front of Es Vedrà across a short channel. The rock dominates this section of coastline in a way that no description adequately prepares for: 382 meters of vertical limestone and volcanic material rising without base or platform from the surface of the sea, its near-vertical walls changing color through the afternoon as the light angle shifts. The island has been uninhabited since 1910 and is protected from landing. The anchorage in Cala d'Hort faces it directly from the east, with the full western face of the rock visible from every position on the boat. Cala Conta and Cala Bassa
The final full sailing day moves north along the western coast through the sequence of bays that define Ibiza's international visual identity. Cala Conta is a series of three connected coves divided by rocky platforms and small islets, with water shifting from deep cobalt offshore to pale turquoise over the limestone seabed in the shallows between the rocks. The rocky perimeter of the islets offers good snorkeling conditions in calm weather and the beach restaurant on the main cove serves food to arriving boats by tender. Cala Bassa further north is wider, sandier and more sheltered from the prevailing northwesterly, with pine trees reaching toward the water on both headlands and a consistent quality of anchorage that makes it one of the most reliable overnight stops on the western coast. Return to Marina Ibiza and Disembarkation
The final navigation returns south along the western coastline and then northeast along the southern approach to Eivissa, passing the Ses Salines park waters before the harbor entrance opens below Dalt Vila. The Renaissance walls above the harbor catch the morning light on the return approach in the same way they have greeted arriving boats since the 16th century. Arrival is planned for the late afternoon or early evening. Guests spend the final night onboard and disembarkation takes place the following morning after breakfast.
