A small-group cabin charter sailing holiday from Marina Trogir through the central Dalmatian islands, with a professional skipper on board and evenings spent in family-run waterfront konobas.
The cruise departs from Marina Trogir, a short drive from Split Airport, and follows a circular route south through the central Dalmatian archipelago, covering the islands of Šolta, Brač, Hvar and Vis before returning north at the end of the week. Most daily sailing legs run between ten and twenty-five nautical miles, apart from the longer return leg on the last day, with a midday anchorage for swimming and lunch at the center of each day.
Navigation is handled entirely by a professional skipper, leaving guests free to relax, watch the coast go by or take part in sailing at their own level. The skipper adapts the route each day to wind, sea state and the mood of the group, which means no two weeks on this itinerary look exactly alike. Dinner is normally taken ashore in small harbors at family-run restaurants.
The islands along the route carry distinct characters. Šolta opens the week with a quiet pine-framed inlet at Maslinica, well suited to a first easy day of sailing and a relaxed evening ashore. Brač offers anchorages along its western coast, including Lučice and Milna, before the route turns south toward Hvar. The Pakleni Islands, just offshore from Hvar Town, provide a popular swim-stop anchorage in Croatia before the most social evening of the week in Hvar's harbor.
Vis stands apart from the rest, the most remote of the central Dalmatian islands, historically closed to foreign visitors until 1989. The Blue Cave on the neighboring island of Biševo is a well-known natural site in the Adriatic, visited in the morning when sea conditions allow, before the route continues to Stiniva, the secluded cove whose narrow entrance between the cliffs opens onto a hidden pebble beach. Komiža, on the western side of Vis, is a traditional fishing harbor with a waterfront lined with restaurants.
Days settle into a natural rhythm quickly, an early morning swim before breakfast, a late morning sailing leg, a lunch stop at anchor in clear water, an afternoon arrival and an evening spent in a harbor village with a dinner just off the quay.
Itinerary
Day1
Boarding in Trogir
Guests arrive at Split Airport and transfer to Marina Trogir. Welcome on board with a safety briefing and route walkthrough. The first evening is spent in the marina with dinner ashore in Trogir's UNESCO-listed old town.
Day2
Trogir to Maslinica, Šolta
An easy first sailing leg of around twelve nautical miles leads to the western tip of Šolta, with a lunch and swim stop in Šešula Bay before the afternoon arrival in Maslinica. The evening is quiet, with a choice of family-run konobas along the waterfront.
Day3
Maslinica to Bobovišća or Milna, Brač
A short hop of around ten nautical miles crosses to the western coast of Brač, with a lunch stop at anchor in Lučice or Smrka. The evening is spent in Milna or the smaller Bobovišća, with a walk to the lighthouse and a classic Dalmatian dinner ashore.
Day4
Brač to Hvar Town
Around eighteen to twenty nautical miles south toward Hvar, with a lunch stop at the Pakleni Islands in Palmižana or Vinogradišće Bay. Arrival in Hvar Town in the afternoon for the liveliest evening of the week, with waterfront restaurants, wine bars and the old fortress above the harbor.
Day5
Hvar to Vis Town
An open water crossing of around twenty-two nautical miles to Vis, with an anchorage for lunch at Sv. Klement or Budikovac along the way. A quiet evening in Vis Town, with a walk through the town's military history and dinner at a vineyard-to-table restaurant.
Day6
Vis to the Blue Cave and Komiža
A morning visit to the Blue Cave on the neighboring island of Biševo, weather and sea conditions permitting, followed by lunch and a swim at Stiniva Bay, a secluded cove whose hidden pebble beach is most naturally reached from the water. The evening is spent in Komiža harbor, with fresh fish from the day's catch at one of the waterfront restaurants.
Day7
Return to Trogir and Last Night on Board
A longer return leg heads north from Komiža towards Trogir, with a lunch stop at Lučice or Sv. Nikola Bay and arrival in Marina Trogir in the afternoon. A farewell dinner ashore closes the week, with the last night on board in the marina, and disembarkation takes place the following morning.

A bright, spacious catamaran with an open saloon and cockpit and four double cabins, each with its own shower toilet.
This catamaran is built around its social spaces: the saloon and the cockpit flow into one large, bright living area where meals, card games and lazy mornings in the sun all happen together. Easy bathing steps at the stern of each hull make it simple to step ashore or slip into the water for a morning swim, and the flat, steady sailing means no previous experience is needed.
Below deck there are four double cabins, two in each hull, each with a generous bed, plenty of light and its own shower toilet. The interior has a soft Mediterranean feel with natural materials and calm colours, and air conditioning is available on board.
The boat has ten berths in total: eight guests in the four guest cabins and two crew members in their own separate cabins.
What to pack for a sailing holiday?
Pack smart for your yacht charter: choose a soft bag instead of a hard suitcase, bring lightweight layers, reef-safe sunscreen, and non-slip shoes for onboard use. A couple of swimsuits and motion sickness remedies can also make a big difference. Each boat has limited storage, so pack light, but wisely! Need help building the perfect list? What's a Typical Day Like on a Yacht Charter?
Start your day with a swim in a quiet bay, sail to hidden beaches or seaside villages, and enjoy a slow lunch on deck. Afternoons mean snorkeling, sunbathing, or exploring ashore. As the sun sets, your boat anchors in a scenic cove or near a harbor, ready for a relaxed dinner and a night under the stars. Curious about the full experience? Who Handles Cooking and Cleaning on a Yacht Charter?
On a crewed cabin charter like this one, the professional crew looks after navigation and the running of the boat, and the host prepares breakfast and lunch on board. Final cleaning is also taken care of, while dinners are usually taken ashore at local restaurants and are paid separately. Want to know more about how it works? What Happens in Case of Bad Weather During a Sailing Holiday?
When the sea gets rough, skippers adjust the route for your safety. Expect protected bays, marina stops, or a change in plan. These moments often lead to unexpected gems: local towns to explore, time to relax on board, or cozy dinners ashore. Curious about how crews handle these changes?
