A seven-day sailing holiday from Castellammare di Stabia combining guided coastal hikes with navigation along the Amalfi Coast, from the ruins of Pompeii to the panoramic trails above Positano, Ravello and Capri.
The cruise follows the Amalfi Coast and the Sorrento Peninsula, combining maritime navigation between anchorages with day hikes that lead well above the waterline onto the terraced hillsides and panoramic trails lining the coast. Sailing and walking alternate by day, with most nights spent either moored in a harbor or at anchor in a sheltered roadstead just offshore.
Much of the route stays close to shore, moving between sheltered bays and small harbors rather than long open water crossings, with the boat often lying at anchor in a roadstead while guests spend the day ashore on foot. Several hikes are reached by public bus or private minibus transfer from the nearest port, which keeps the daily rhythm flexible and leaves the afternoon free for sailing on to the next stop.
The coastline ranges from the volcanic backdrop of Vesuvius near Pompeii and Castellammare di Stabia to the dramatic limestone cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, where mule tracks like the Walk of the Gods trace high above Positano, and the Fiordo di Furore cuts a narrow inlet between sheer rock walls. Capri adds a different character again, with the Arco Naturale and the Grotta di Matromania carved into its eastern coast.
History runs through almost every stop, from the buried Roman city of Pompeii to the cathedral towns of Amalfi and Ravello, the gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo above the sea, and the small fishing village of Marina del Cantone inside the Punta Campanella marine reserve.
Life on board follows the rhythm of the hikes, breakfast before a morning ashore, lunch taken independently in a village along the trail, and dinner back on the boat drawing on the cooking traditions of the nearby fishing communities, with fresh fish, pasta, local cheeses and seasonal vegetables typical of the Mediterranean table.
Itinerary
Day1
Boarding in Castellammare di Stabia
After arriving in Naples, the transfer to Castellammare di Stabia takes around an hour. Boarding takes place from 6pm at Marina di Stabia, with cabins ready on arrival. A welcome meeting follows at 7pm, including a complimentary cocktail and a briefing on the week ahead. Dinner and the first night are spent on board in port.
Day2
Pompeii to Sorrento
A private minibus transfer in the morning leads to Pompeii, the largest open air archaeological site in the world, where the ancient Roman city buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD can be explored at an independent pace, with free time for lunch along the way. In the afternoon, return to Castellammare di Stabia to set sail toward Sorrento, perched on a tufa cliff above the sea. Dinner and the night are spent at anchor in the roadstead off the town.
Day3
Sorrento and Punta Campanella
The morning is free to explore Sorrento before a public bus transfer to the small town of Termini, the starting point for a hike of around three hours, with roughly four hundred meters of ascent and descent, into the protected area of Punta Campanella at the tip of the peninsula, facing the island of Capri. Dinner and the night are spent on board at anchor in Marina del Cantone, a small village with quiet beaches inside the Punta Campanella marine reserve.
Day4
Valle dei Mulini and Ravello
The boat follows the Costa delle Sirene toward Amalfi, a village set between Mount Lattari and the sea, known for the cathedral overlooking its old town. In the afternoon, a walking excursion of around three hours, with roughly three hundred and fifty meters of ascent and descent, leads into the Valle dei Mulini, the Valley of the Mills, reaching Ravello at an elevation of around three hundred and fifty meters, where there is free time to visit, with the option of seeing Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. The walk continues through the small village of Atrani before returning to Amalfi for dinner and the night in the harbor.
Day5
Amalfi and the Fiordo di Furore
A public bus transfer leads to the plains of Agerola, the starting point for a hike of around three hours, descending roughly six hundred and fifty meters down a steep slope to the small village of Furore, set in a narrow bay wedged between the cliffs and the sea. In the afternoon, sail along the coastline to the Emerald Cave, named for the striking color created as light filters through the rock and reflects on the water inside, before free time in Amalfi ahead of dinner and the night spent at anchor in the roadstead.
Day6
Positano and the Walk of the Gods
A public bus transfer to Agerola marks the start of the Walk of the Gods, an old mule track that once connected Agerola to Positano, covering around four hours of walking with about six hundred and fifty meters of descent and offering wide views over the Amalfi Coast along the way. The afternoon is free in Positano for shopping, sunbathing or swimming, before sailing on to Capri, where dinner and the night are spent at anchor in the roadstead.
Day7
Capri and disembarkation
A morning hike of around three hours, with roughly three hundred meters of ascent and descent, leads to the Arco Naturale, the Grotta di Matromania and the Terrazza di Tragara, with views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius from the clifftop. The afternoon is free for shopping and exploring the historic center of Capri before sailing back to Castellammare di Stabia, where dinner and the final night are spent on board in port. Disembarkation takes place the following morning after breakfast, with guests making their own way to Naples airport or train station.

Guest cabins are private, each fitted with its own en suite bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to twelve people across the boat.
A full crew, including a captain, sailor, cook and hostess, takes care of the cruise from start to finish, handling navigation, meals and daily housekeeping so guests can stay fully focused on the time on board.
