Day1
São Miguel South Coast Sailing and Atlantic Swim Stops
Your 2-day private sailing cruise around São Miguel Island begins at 10:00 at the marina pier, where you will meet the crew for boarding and a short safety briefing. After settling on board, the Nautitech 47 catamaran, the yacht sets sail along the southern coastline of São Miguel, one of the most scenic sailing areas in the Azores. The exact route will depend on Atlantic weather conditions, allowing the captain to select the best bays and anchorages for the day.
During the cruise you will sail past volcanic cliffs, green hills and quiet coastal villages while enjoying the open waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. Along the route the catamaran may stop in secluded coves where guests can swim in clear ocean waters, snorkel along rocky coastlines or explore the shoreline using stand up paddle boards and the dinghy. Relax on the trampoline nets at the bow, enjoy music on deck or simply listen to the natural sounds of the ocean and seabirds.
For the overnight stay, the yacht will either anchor in a quiet bay along the São Miguel coast or dock in one of the island’s small harbours such as Povoação or Ponta Delgada Marina, depending on weather and sea conditions. Lunch on board is included during the day, and guests can also choose to enjoy dinner and drinks on the catamaran while watching the sunset over the Atlantic. Morning Sailing, lunch, swim and Return to the Marina
Wake up to the peaceful atmosphere of the Atlantic before enjoying breakfast on board while surrounded by the landscapes of São Miguel Island. The morning usually includes a relaxed sail along the coast with opportunities for another swim stop or time to paddleboard in calm waters before returning to the marina.
In the afternoon, the catamaran sails back toward the departure harbour, completing this short Azores sailing experience around São Miguel. Disembarkation takes place at approximately 18:00, marking the end of your private 2 day sailing adventure.
