Vila Franca does Campo Meeting, Briefing and First Sail
Your Azores sailing expedition begins at 11:00 at Bar da Marina in Vila Franca do Campo, a historic harbor on São Miguel Island and one of the main departure points for sailing trips in the Azores. Here you will meet the crew before boarding the catamaran and receiving a professional safety briefing covering life on board, navigation basics and the planned sailing itinerary.
After settling into your cabins, enjoy lunch on board while discussing the route for the coming days based on the latest Azores weather and Atlantic sailing conditions. In the afternoon, the yacht sets sail along the volcanic coastline of São Miguel, heading toward a quiet bay where you can swim in clear Atlantic waters. This first sailing leg offers a gentle introduction to life at sea in the Azores.
Day2
Day 2 to Day 4 Sailing the Eastern Azores, São Miguel and Santa Maria
Over the next days you will experience the rhythm of island hopping sailing in the Eastern Azores, navigating between São Miguel and the nearby island of Santa Maria. One of the great advantages of sailing in the Azores is the ability to explore remote coastal landscapes without constantly packing and unpacking while traveling.
During the journey the catamaran may sail both during the day and occasionally overnight, depending on weather conditions and the chosen route.
